What's it like?...
Suze (and its sister Suze Wine Bar near Baker Street tube) presents itself as London's speciality New Zealand wine bar, and the excellent list bears this out. Wines from Australia also feature strongly. Select by grape variety, or go for one of the international choices also on offer. Owners Tom and Susan Glynn have been in London for 25 years, and give a warm Antipodean welcome to all comers.
Suze in Mayfair looks like a restaurant from the front, but take the plunge and head in to the back where a cosy bar area allows you to relax and enjoy some really fine wines. Whether you just have a drink or are tempted to stay for some of the delicious-sounding menu, this is definitely the place to come in this part of London - and is well worth the effort from further afield. |
