 Wine-mine review - October 2000
Digging up great ideas for wine lovers...
This month we reviewed a book: Confessions of a Wine Lover
Jancis Robinson needs no introduction; widely acclaimed as the most respected wine writer in the World. Confessions of a wine lover is an autobiography of Robinson's first twenty years in the wine business. It is tremendously entertaining and full of fascinating information and anecdotes from the industry.
This book was once described to me as being like a great wine. Once you start reading it, you devour it greedily, savouring every drop. Then suddenly you realise that you are nearly at the end and desperately try to eke it out for as long as possible. I must say that I have to agree.
Highly recommended for an absorbing exposé of Robinson's irrepressible passion for wine.
