 Wine-mine review - November 2000
Digging up great ideas for wine lovers...
This month we reviewed a book: Terroir
Only for serious wine enthusiasts and geology fans!
This tremendously detailed book is the result of years of research by Wilson into the soils, structure and landscape of French wine growing regions.
He examines in great depth the relationships between the soil, the climate, the geology and the culture of all the main wine regions and explains the intricate weave of social and natural history that has played such an important part in forming these areas as we know them today.
Fascinating stuff, but only for the dedicated!
