Forget any Beaujolais Nouveau that you have tasted, for this wine has about as much in common as a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc has to those examples. This Beaujolais is a terrific wine which has benefited from the vast experience of the Burgundy-based Jadot firm.
It has stunning fruity aromas and a body and presence in the mouth that would give any half decent Burgundy a run for its money. Although a little pricey on the face of it, this wine actually represents great value as it is made with true class. |
