 Wine Review - 18 02 2004
It's all about having fun & learning about wine.
This week's wine was:
|
 |
 |
Marks & Spencer Gamay |
| Producer: |
Unknown |
| Origin: |
Vin de pays de L'Ardeche, France |
| Vintage: |
2002 |
| Price: |
£2.99 |
| Bought in: |
Marks & Spencer |
|
Though not from Beaujolais, we thought we would throw this wine into the mix to show that Gamay grown in other parts of France and the rest of the world can produce reasonable wines.
Matthew Jukes tipped us off about this one and we have to agree with his view that for this price, this wine represents great value. Light, fruity and without any cloyiness or slightly manufactured bubblegum aromas, this is a pleasant quaffing wine to have in your cellar. |
