JQWine Review - 30 04 2003
It's all about having fun & learning about wine.

This week's wine was:

Toro Albala Pedro Ximenez
Producer: Toro Albala
Origin: Spain
Vintage: None
Price: £7.00 (half bottle)
Bought in: Moreno wine merchants

If you're ever stuck without something to pour on your ice-cream, look no further than this wine. It may be an expensive dessert topping, but well worth every unctious drop!

This is deep walnut in colour and so thick that it stains the inside of the glass. It has a nose of marmalade, raisins and dried fruit and tastes of sweet figs, oranges and honey. You would find it hard to drink too much of this sweet stuff, but my goodness it is fun trying. A delicious tipple.
