Vina Esmeralda is a delicious and unusual white wine made from a blend of Gewuztraminer and Muscat. It is pale lemon and star-bright to look at and has the most appealing aroma. The nose is clean, fresh and somewhat floral. There are gorgeous notes of ripe lychees, melon and peaches with hints of honeysuckle and sweet spice.
In the mouth, the wine is light and dry with a zip of balanced acidity. The ripe fruit comes through very strongly, along with a slight nutty, spicy aftertaste. This does not have particularly high alcohol levels and its light-medium body makes it a very refreshing quaff. The length of the finish is short to medium as one might expect from this well made and easy-to-drink wine. Try this on its own or with oriental or spicy food. Great for the summer! |
