It will come as no surprise that this wine from one of Tuscany's most famous families is a stunner. It positively oozes class with its bright, deep black cherry appearance and seductive viscosity. The nose is obvious but not intense and one is struck by a ripeness of black fruits, such as cherry and damson, encased in layers of aniseed and vanilla.
In the mouth, the wine is dry, smooth and voluptuous. The flavour is dominated by dark cherries and plums and bitter chocolate and orange peel. There is enough weight, alcohol and acidity to give the fruit finesse and structure and the length of finish is impressive. Don't miss out! |
