This is a red wine made from the Cabernet Franc grape and one of the best appellations for red wine in the Loire. It is deep red in colour with an aroma of blackcurrants and leafy hedgerows. In the mouth, the wine is very dry, medium bodied and with a medium level of alcohol.
The tannins are relatively chewy, so drinking this with some food is recommended. It is, nevertheless, a fruity wine with flavours of dark bramble fruits and the length of finish is very good. |
