This wine is a classic grand cru Riesling from one of the top producers in the Alsace.
In the glass this wine is pale gold and glossy with an intense, ripe fat fruity nose. The fruit aromas are tropical kiwi, pineapple and honey. This is a dry wine with crisp acidity. It has good levels of ripe fruit as on the nose, and an oily mouthfeel. Medium-bodied with reasonable levels of warming alcohol, this example has a very long finish.
A well made Riesling that is drinking well, but will continue to improve. |
